Common questions

The stamp shows no address or no coordinates

Snapwren needs location access while the camera is open. Check Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Snapwren and choose While Using the App. The chip at the top left of the camera shows the GPS accuracy; indoors it can take a few seconds. Without location the stamp still shows the date and time. The address needs an internet connection; coordinates don't.

How do I change what the stamp shows?

Tap the layers button at the bottom right of the camera. Choose the style, switch address, coordinates, heading, altitude and project name on or off, pick the position and the coordinate format, and add your logo (Plus).

How do I add a note?

Tap Add a note to the stamp under the camera. The note goes on every photo until you change it. You can also write a note on a single photo afterwards; that note shows in the app and in the PDF report, but the stamp already on the photo stays as it was.

How do I keep a job's photos together?

Tap the project name at the top left of the camera and choose New project. New photos go into the project you picked. The free version has one project and three stamped photos a day; Snapwren Plus has unlimited projects and photos.

How do I make a PDF report?

Open Photos (the thumbnail at the bottom left of the camera), choose a project and tap PDF report for the client, then Send the PDF. Reports are part of Snapwren Plus.

Can I stamp a photo I took earlier?

Yes. Tap the photo button at the top of the camera and choose a photo from your library. Snapwren uses that photo's own date and place (if it has them) and looks up the address.

Is the stamp proof?

No. It shows what your iPhone reported when the photo was taken. Many clients, landlords and insurers find that helpful, but Snapwren does not certify photos.

How do I open the camera faster?

Add the Stamp camera control to Control Center (or the Lock Screen or the Action button), add the widget to your Home Screen, or say "Take a stamped photo with Snapwren".

How do I change the app's language?

Snapwren follows your iPhone's language. In the app, open Settings > Language to jump to the iPhone settings page for Snapwren. If you don't see Language there, add a second language under General > Language & Region first.

How do I cancel the subscription?

In Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions on your iPhone. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
