Privacy policy

Snapwren is a camera app made by Reba Labs ("we") that stamps the date, time and place on your photos. This policy explains what happens to the information it uses. The short version: your photos and their locations stay on your iPhone. We don't collect any data.

What the app uses

  • The camera, to take the photos you stamp.
  • Your location, only while the camera is open ("when in use"): the GPS position, its accuracy, altitude and compass heading go onto the stamp and into the photo's metadata.
  • Your photo library, add-only, when you tap Save to put a photo into Photos. If you pick a photo to stamp, iOS gives the app only that photo.
  • What you type: project names, clients and notes, and a logo you choose.

All of it is stored only on your device, in Snapwren's own app storage. We never receive it. There is no account and no Reba Labs server behind the app.

Network use

Snapwren talks to the internet in two cases only:

  • Street address. To show the address on the stamp, the app asks Apple's maps service (MapKit) which address belongs to your current location. That request goes from your iPhone to Apple under Apple's privacy policy; nothing goes to us.
  • Purchases. Buying or restoring Snapwren Plus goes through Apple's App Store. We receive no personal information from Apple about who bought it.

Sharing photos and reports

When you share a photo or a PDF report, Snapwren hands the file to the iOS share sheet. You choose the app and the people it goes to; we don't see it. Remember that a stamped photo shows where it was taken.

What we never do

No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no tracking across apps, no selling or sharing of data. In App Store terms: Data Not Collected.

Deleting your data

Delete photos or projects in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Copies you saved to Photos or sent to others stay there.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete. Questions are still welcome at privacy@reba-labs.com. If you are in the EU or UK you can also contact your data protection authority.

Children

Snapwren is a general-audience app and does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If Snapwren starts handling data differently, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date above.
