Terms of use

These terms cover your use of Rotebird, an app made by Reba Labs. By using Rotebird you agree to them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to apps from the App Store.

Suggested cards

Suggested cards are written by Apple's on-device language model from the text you provide. They can be wrong or incomplete. You check each card before it is saved, and you are responsible for the cards you keep. Rotebird does not promise any study or exam result.

Your content

You keep all rights to the notes, files and cards you put into Rotebird. Only import or photograph material you are allowed to use. Everything stays on your devices (see the privacy policy). You are responsible for keeping backups of your device if you want to keep your cards. We cannot recover data that is deleted or lost.

Rotebird Plus

Decks, hand-written cards and reviews are free, with 20 suggested cards a week. Rotebird Plus unlocks unlimited suggested cards, deck import (.apkg and CSV), widgets and insights. You can buy it in two ways:

  • Yearly subscription. New subscribers get a one-week free trial. After the trial, the yearly price shown in the app is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged.
  • Lifetime unlock. A one-time purchase that unlocks Rotebird Plus for as long as the app is offered, with no subscription.

Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country. Payments, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms; refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Restore Purchases in Settings brings back a purchase on a new or reset iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account.

Using the app

Please don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute Rotebird except where the law allows.

No warranty

We work hard to make Rotebird accurate and reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Reba Labs is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Rotebird. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms when the app changes. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use Rotebird after a change means you accept the updated terms.
