Common questions
Does the timer keep running if I close the app?
Yes. Milkling stores when a feed started, so you can lock your phone or switch apps and the time keeps counting. Open Milkling again to switch sides, pause or finish.
I forgot to start the timer. Can I add a feed afterwards?
Yes. On the Story screen, tap + to add a past feed with its own start time and minutes on each side. Tap any feed to edit or delete it.
How do I track more than one child?
Open settings from the Today screen and choose Add a child. Tap a child's name at the top of Today, Story, Food or Rhythm to switch. Every screen follows the child you pick.
Is my data backed up? Can I move it to a new phone?
Milkling stores everything on your phone and has no account or cloud sync. Your data is included in your iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), so restoring a backup onto a new phone brings your history with it.
How do I delete my data?
Open settings from the Today screen and choose Clear all data. This removes every child, feed, food and note from your phone and cannot be undone.
Is Milkling a medical app?
No. Milkling is a tracker with general tips. It does not give medical advice. If feeding hurts, your baby is not gaining or has fewer wet nappies, or you feel unable to cope, contact your midwife, health visitor, lactation consultant or doctor.
