Terms of use

These terms cover your use of Hummoth, an app made by Reba Labs. By using Hummoth you agree to them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to apps from the App Store.
Not a medical device
Hummoth notices sounds such as snoring, speech and coughs and shows when it heard them. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, monitor or treat any condition, including sleep apnoea or any breathing disorder. Its sound recognition can miss sounds or label them wrongly. If you stop breathing, choke or gasp at night, feel very tired during the day, or are worried about your sleep, talk to a doctor. In an emergency call your local emergency number.
Recording other people
Hummoth records sound near your phone, which can include other people. You are responsible for using it lawfully and for telling people who share your room.
Hummoth Plus
Listening and the report for your last 3 nights are free. Hummoth Plus unlocks every night, trends, tag comparison and saving or sharing clips. You can buy it in two ways:
- Yearly subscription. New subscribers get a one-week free trial. After the trial, the yearly price shown in the app is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged.
- Lifetime unlock. A one-time purchase that unlocks Hummoth Plus for as long as the app is offered, with no subscription.
Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country. Payments, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms; refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Restore Purchases in Settings brings back a purchase on a new or reset iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account.
Your data
Everything Hummoth records stays on your iPhone (see the privacy policy). You are responsible for keeping backups of your device if you want to keep your nights. We cannot recover data that is deleted or lost.
Using the app
Please don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute Hummoth except where the law allows.
No warranty
Hummoth is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Listening depends on your iPhone's microphone, battery, storage and settings; it can stop if the phone runs out of battery or another app takes the microphone.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Reba Labs is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Hummoth. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms when the app changes. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use Hummoth after a change means you accept the updated terms.
