These terms cover your use of Cardamint, an app made by Reba Labs. By using Cardamint you agree to them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to apps from the App Store.
Reading recipes
Cardamint reads text from the pictures and text you give it, and Apple's on-device language model or the app's own rules sort it into a recipe. Reading can be wrong or incomplete, especially for handwriting or blurred photos. You check each recipe before it is saved, and you are responsible for the recipes you keep and cook. Cardamint gives no cooking, food-safety, nutrition or health advice.
Your content
You keep all rights to the recipes, pictures and notes you put into Cardamint. Only save material you are allowed to use for yourself; recipes from books, sites and social media belong to their authors, and Cardamint shows the source you add as credit. Cardamint never fetches or copies web pages itself. Everything stays on your devices (see the privacy policy). You are responsible for keeping backups of your device if you want to keep your recipes. We cannot recover data that is deleted or lost.
Cardamint Plus
Free mode keeps up to 10 recipes typed in by hand, with the week planner and grocery list. Cardamint Plus unlocks unlimited recipes and reading from screenshots, photos and pasted text. You can buy it in two ways:
- Yearly subscription. New subscribers get a one-week free trial. After the trial, the yearly price shown in the app is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged.
- Lifetime unlock. A one-time purchase that unlocks Cardamint Plus for as long as the app is offered, with no subscription.
Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country. Payments, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms; refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Restore Purchases in Settings brings back a purchase on a new or reset iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account. If Plus ends, your recipes stay; adding more than 10 and reading pictures need Plus again.
Using the app
Please don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute Cardamint except where the law allows.
No warranty
We work hard to make Cardamint accurate and reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Reba Labs is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Cardamint. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms when the app changes. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use Cardamint after a change means you accept the updated terms.
